Jose Mourinho names Manchester United’s Premier League squad for this season

by Tanveer Arayan

Jose Mourinho has named Manchester United’s 25-man Premier League squad for this season and Bastian Schweinsteiger has surprisingly been included.

He was deemed as a surplus to requirements by Mourinho at Old Tarfford and has not been training with the first-team, but he insisted Man United would be the last club in Europe he would play for.

After a summer move failed to materialise the midfielder has now been included in United’s Premier League squad as Mourinho previously claimed it would not be impossible for him to play a role on the side.

Sadiq El-Fitouri has been a regular in Warren Joyce’s reserve team since 2015 when he was signed from Salford City – owned by former United players Gary Neville, Phil Neville, Ryan Giggs, Nicky Butt and Paul Scholes.

Mourinho’s new recruits, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Eric Bailly, Henrkih Mkhitaryan and Paul Pogba have also been named in the squad with the latter confirmed as a homegrown player.

Don’t worry Luke Shaw, Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford and Timothy Fosu-Mensah have been included on the list, but Under-21 players do not need to be registered due to their age.
