Juventus eye move for Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian – report

Juventus are eyeing up Manchester United’s Matteo Darmian as a replacement for Stephan Lichtsteiner, according to reports.

Lichtsteiner is currently in the final year of his contract and with Dani Alves ahead of him in the pecking order, his time at Juve seems to be nearing it’s end.

He has preferred a move to Inter Milan as he hopes to stay in Italy and the Serie A champions have turned their attention to Darmian.

The 26-year-old is yet to feature under Jose Mourinho at Man United and reports suggest Juve will make a move for him in January.

When he arrived at Old Trafford last season under Louis van Gaal, he started his career at the club in spectacular form, but hasn’t been able to replicate it since.

Inconsistency in United’s back four and injuries have stopped him from reaching his true potential and it’s a shame because he looked to be an excellent addition to our side.

Darmian will be looking to finally prove himself to the Portuguese boss when he gets the opportunity to play this month, as Mourinho has stated he will give all his players game-time.
