The Swede completed his free transfer to Old Trafford this summer after becoming Paris Saint-Germain’s all-time record goalscorer.
He has gotten his Man United career off to the perfect start and has scored three times in as many Premier League matches, proving his ability in England.
Speaking about his plans, Ibrahimovic revealed he previously rejected moves to England’s top flight.
“I was close two times to moving to the Premier League – once with Arsenal and then Manchester City,” he said.
“But it never happened and I don’t need to play in the Premier League.
“Jose is the mastermind, the masterbrain.
“He knows what he needs to do to win. I learned a lot from him at Inter. Who wouldn’t want to have Mourinho as manager?”
They enjoyed their time together at Inter Milan and Ibrahimovic loved the fact that Jose could get the best out of him.
At Man United they represent Mourinho’s new era, one filled with plenty of goals and hopefully plenty of trophies.
Zlatan will be an important figure at Old Trafford this season and hopes are he can continue his goal-scoring run against Manchester City in the derby next week.
