Henrikh Mkhitaryan is unsure if he’ll be available to play in the Manchester derby but is working as hard as possible to get himself fit in time.
The midfielder suffered an injury away on international duty with Armenia this week and immediately flew back to Manchester to begin rehabilitation on his thigh problem.
It’s raised concerns over whether Mkhitaryan can play in the derby and he’s taken to Twitter to update fans on how he’s getting on.
Not sure yet if I'll bit fit for the derby, but I'm motivated as ever to put all energy to be in great shape asap!! pic.twitter.com/n3QcXpv1k6

Do I think Mkhitaryan not being fit for the derby would be a blow? Absolutely. We all saw how much of an impact he had from the bench against Hull City but I doubt he had any chance of starting on Saturday any way – it’d certainly be a bold statement from Jose Mourinho to give Henrikh his first start in such a big game.
But even having him fit for the bench will be a boost because in games like these it is often the players you can bring on to change the game which make all the difference rather than who is in your starting XI.
In the fullness of time we’ll see the best of Mkhitaryan in a Man United shirt but like so many players who are brought in from abroad, it looks like it’ll be a slow integration for him into the team but I’ve got every confidence that when he does hit top gear he’s going to be one of the best players in the league.
