Henrikh Mkhitaryan says he is he is not sure if he will be fit enough for the Manchester Derby this weekend.
He made his £26m move from Borussia Dortmund to Manchester United last month and missed Armenia’s World Cup qualifier against Denmark on Sunday night with a thigh injury.
The 27-year-old returned to Manchester to have his injury assessed by Carrington’s medical team and is now hoping he will be able to play a part against Pep Guariola’s Manchester City.
He took to Instagram to tell fans he was continuing with his rehabilitation.
Mkhitaryan sustained the problem in an off-the-ball collision with Marek Suchy during Armenia’s friendly with the Czech Republic last Wednesday.
The injury is expected to take at least a week to ten days before he can get back in action and fans were hoping to see him in Jose Mourinho‘s starting XI as the Portuguese boss has been easing him into football in England.
It’s a shame to see him pick up an injury before he has had a chance to make a mark on the side and hopes are it isn’t nothing serious.
