The 34-year-old completed his move from Paris Saint-Germain to Old Trafford after Sweden’s Euro 2016 campaign came to a close.
He left the club as their all time top goalscorer with 50 goals in 51 appearances across all competitions.
Pereira recalls all the players were stunned when the Swede finally arrived at Old Trafford as everyone could see his professionalism.
“Just by his physical appearance, you can tell he is professional as hell. He just wants to win – he only thinks about football,” he said.
“When he arrived, everyone could see that he was a real professional.
“He brought his own physiotherapist with him, to treat him at the club. Everyone was left open-mouthed by that.
“Things have changed a fair bit, Ibra arrived. Pogba arrived and that was a bit strange… it was like he was coming back from a long holiday.
“The new players will help the team a lot. It’s really different since Mourinho’s arrival: everyone is more focused and prepared to play. I think this year Manchester United will create havoc”.
There is no doubting Zlatan’s professionalism, after winning trophies all over the world the Swede has nothing left to prove.
However his arrival at Man United also comes with plenty of expectations, which he has already blown away with three goals in just as many Premier League games.
He may be entering the latter stages of his career but there is definitely plenty of goals still left in him.
