Manchester United’s 2-1 defeat to Man City might have been a cracking game for the neutral but for fans, like Rio Ferdinand, it was painful; 45 minutes of awful football was brought back to life by Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s goal just before half-time but the second half didn’t see enough changes.
Watching the Manchester derby wasn’t an enjoyable experience for Rio today:

Losing a derby happens, we’ve been on the end of worse defeats in the past, but the thing that frustrates me the most is the fact that not everybody left 100% on the pitch. That’s what stings for me.
