Adnan Januzaj started for Sunderland at the Stadium of Light against Everton on Monday night but was unable to help David Moyes’ side come away with three points.
Romelu Lukaku’s quick-fire second half hat-trick sealed the win for Everton but it was good to see Januzaj play the full game in what I’d say is his preferred No.10 position, although he did drift wide as well.
With fleeting moments Januzaj helped Sunderland look dangerous at points going forward and over the course of the season he’s going to need to be a brighter spark to help influence their Premier League campaign.
Here’s what fans thought of Januzaj’s performance:
#loanwatch: Adnan Januzaj played the full game in Sunderland's 3-0 loss vs Everton. Still failing to consistently stand-out in a poor side.

januzaj is not a hard working player thats why he is at sunderland all the time jogging or walking around pitch.have never seen him pressing

The fact Januzaj got a full 90 minutes despite Sunderland getting spanked by Everton is a real testament to the amount of trust David Moyes has in him which bodes well for his opportunities this year.
He’s yet to really get started at Sunderland but he’s a player who needs confidence to shine and once he’s bagged his first Premier League goal, that’s when I hope he can go on a run just like Lukaku did tonight having not scored since March.
