Jose Mourinho has revealed Phil Jones is set to be sidelined for another month with a new injury after suffering knee ligament damage in training.
The 24-year-old defender is yet to be involved with Manchester United this season after a series of injury problems ruled him out and this is the latest in a string of injuries which has kept him out of the squad completely.
After waiting so patiently and continuing to give him rehabilitation, Man United’s patience is starting to be tested as a club and Mourinho will have questions to ask about his long-term prospects.

I didn’t want to write off Jones at the start of the season because prior to last year I would have been OK with Chris Smalling leaving, only for him to go and blossom under Louis van Gaal. So, I’d be wary that Jones has that some potential but another injury? Jones has had so many opportunities to recover and push on yet he just continues to get injured.
I’m not sure where we move on with Jones because he follows one injury with another like clockwork. He’s got to be considering his options as well and if this how things pan out for Jones this season, I’d be very surprised to not see him get sold in the summer.
