Manchester United forward Anthony Martial was forced after suffering a heavy head collision during the Watford fixture.
The Frenchman challenged Daryl Janmaat for the ball in the air when the pair clashed heads.
The medical staff then rushed onto the pitch to help Martial as he was clearly in discomfort and didn’t move off the ground for a matter of minutes.
It appeared he would have been withdrawn, but was deemed fit to continue – the wrong decision as he lost the lost the ball to Miguel Britos in the build-up to Watford’s opener and was forced off the pitch.
After he was treated on the pitch, he was shortly replaced by Ashley Young.
He has had a tough start to the new season under Jose Mourinho and still hasn’t found the back of the net.
Hopes are his injury is nothing serious as he’s worked his was up to an important figure at Man United and the Portuguese boss will need him fit as his side endure a busy month of fixtures.
