Paul Pogba‘s improved display against Watford has given Manchester United fans optimism about his future at Old Trafford.
The Frenchman has struggled to make a solid impact on the side, despite starting all of the games since his arrival under Jose Mourinho.
His showing against Feyenoord attracted plenty of criticism as he hasn’t lived up to the expectations of fans, but he has put in a much more spirited display against Watford.
Here’s what fans on social media had to say about his showing.
Biggest difference for Pogba is he had the control of Marchisio behind him, creativity of Dyabala in front. Rooney Fellaini not good enough

While noway near his best, I like Pogba constantly talking to+even moaning at his #MUFC teammates
Shows he cares/demands quality, à la Keano

Hi @paulpogba, still fighting for the victory, despite a lot of criticism for you. Calm down, we still trust you!!!

Hilarious how little people know when writing Pogba off after being one of the main orchestrators in Juventus's success. Now he's a fraud!

Even though he is far from his Juventus form, he looked more involved in the game and almost found his first goal in a United shirt since his arrival after he rattled the crossbar with a long range effort.
He looks determined to prove his critics wrong and it seems he is currently feeling the pressure of performing as the world’s most expensive player.
Suffering their third straight loss across all competitions has taken a bad situation to even worse and United will have much bigger concerns than we would have hoped for at this early stage of the season.
