Manchester United fans were full of praise for Morgan Schneiderlin after the Frenchman produced a solid performance in their side’s 3-1 win over Northampton Town in the League Cup.
The 26-year-old was an effervescent, stellar force in midfield alongside Michael Carrick and Ander Herrera, displaying steel and tidiness on the ball in what turned out to be a comfortable win for the visitors.
Man United fans were quick to laud Schneiderlin for his convincing display.

Schneiderlin put in a good shift as well. Overshadowed by Herrera and Carrick, but did his job well nevertheless. Good game, Morgan! #MUFC

In spite of all the supposed ‘match winners’ on the pitch, it was Schneiderlin who provided the game’s pivotal moment.
As United prodded and probed, nervously looking for a winner in a game they simply had to win, the Frenchman – through sheer grit and energy – nipped the ball, charged forward, and eventually set up Ander Herrera‘s goal. Such ceaseless commitment was what emblematised the Frenchman’s game all evening, and it ensured that Northampton – despite their brute strength – never failed to impose themselves on the visiting side.
Instead, it was Schneiderlin, complimented by the assured figure of Carrick and Herrera’s zeal, that dictated the game’s pace, generating an onslaught that stemmed from midfield before calming the game down as the result quickly became a foregone conclusion after Rashford’s goal.
