Paul Pogba announced himself fully as a Manchester United player in our stunning 4-1 win over Leicester City.
The performance in the first half from Man United as a team was sublime and Pogba played a crucial role in that, least not with his first goal for the club.
He delicately crafted chances, caressed some wonderful through-balls to Zlatan Ibrahimovic and could have had a couple of assists to his name as well. Having had so much criticism thrown at him already at United, that’s the sort of performance fans have been wanting to see from Pogba.

And surprisingly it came when Pogba played in a midfield two, although this time it was alongside Ander Herrera instead of Marouane Fellaini which did make a big difference. I think Mourinho’s now seen how much better the team are with dynamic players like Herrera instead of Fellaini, so hopefully it’s the start of a new look United.
Pogba’s going to be a world beater at United and his performance against Leicester was a glimpse of him at his best. We need him to influence games like that every week and it will just take some time for it to click consistently but if Leicester is anything to go by, that’s going to be sooner rather than later.
