Paul Pogba was delighted after scoring his first Premier League goal for Manchester United in Saturday’s 4-1 victory over Leicester City at Old Trafford.

The Frenchman produced a spectacular showing for Man United and picked up the Man of the Match award in front of home fans.

He headed home from a corner in the first-half to add to goals from Chris Smalling, Juan Mata and Marcus Rashford.

Speaking after the game, he hoped there would be many more gaols to come.

“I’m very happy with the result and this goal. I hope it won’t be the last one,” he said.

“Just carry on, keep doing what we’ve done today, and after we can go – we have our goals.

“I never look at the newspapers but I always say one thing: at the end, we will see.”

United have come under heavy criticism for their disappointing showings in recent weeks, but they have turned the corner perfectly.

Many have been frustrated by Pogba after not living up to fans’ expectations following his arrival as the world’s most expensive player.

However, his showing against Leicester underlined why the club paid his staggering price tag and proved that once the team clicks, he will tear opponents apart.
