Daley Blind has been included in the Premier League Team of the Week following his sensational performance at left-back during Manchester United’s 4-1 win over Leicester City.
The Dutchman, in the absence of Luke Shaw, was charged with the responsibility of occupying the left back role against Claudio Ranieri’s side.
Much to the delight of Man United fans, Blind produced a sumptuous display, offering composure at the back and innovation going forward.
The 26-year-old’s faultless performance was awarded with a spot in the official Team of the Week.

In what has been a whirlwind year at Old Trafford, Blind has been one of the few constants in this United side, and his performance against Leicester illustrated the Dutchman’s unyielding solidity at the back.
It is perhaps worth noting that, save for a few instances with the national side, Blind hasn’t featured at left back since April 2015 – almost 18 months.
To make such a seamless transition from centre-back to left-back is indicative of what makes Blind such a special player: a unique sense of equanimity, dedication and composure all across the pitch. That Total Football notion of absolute versatility is something that heavily informs the way Blind plays, and it consolidates his status as an indispensable asset under Jose Mourinho.
