Jose Mourinho has provided an injury update on his squad in his press conference ahead of Manchester United’s fixture against Zorya Luhansk.

He confirmed Luke Shaw missed training today with the rest of the team because he was ill.

The Portuguese boss also revealed Henrikh Mkhitarayn would not play tomorrow despite training with the full squad.

Speaking at his conference, he confirmed Shaw was sent home by doctors.

Luke Shaw is ill. Temperature, fever, bad throat. He arrived this morning and the doctor sent him home,” he said.

“Mkhitaryan’s not playing tomorrow.”

It’s a shame to hear Mkhitaryan won’t be playing tomorrow, fans were hoping to see him in action especially after he had scored four goals in three games against our next opponents.

Shaw would have been relishing the opportunity to get back on the pitch, but his illness will give him some extra time to rest before our Premier League fixture against Stoke City.

Both are verging full fitness and will give Mourinho’s side a massive boost as vital players on the team.
