Inter Milan send representative to Man United to negotiate Matteo Darmian deal – report

Inter Milan have sent a representative to England to negotiate a deal for Manchester United’s Matteo Darmian, according to reports.

He joined last summer under Louis van Gaal but has not made a single Premier League appearance under Jose Mourinho this campaign.

Speculation surrounding his future at Old Trafford has continued to grow and he has been increasingly linked with a move to the Nerazzurri.

They are reportedly keen on signing him on loan in January with the option to permanently buy him in the summer.

It’s a shame he hasn’t been able to make his mark on the side at United as Frank de Boer is said to be a big fan of his ability to play on either flank or even in the centre of defence.

He got off to a quick start at Old Trafford, earning himself the Player of the Month award for August during his first month at the club.

However, he hasn’t been able to find his form since then and fans have been disappointed after witnessing glimpses of his potential.

Darmian’s constant change in position never helped him build consistency in the side and he has now fallen further down the pecking order behind Antonio Valencia under Mourinho, it looks like his time at the club is coming to an end.
