Antoine Griezmann believes Paul Pogba needs affection at Manchester United to ease him through his rough patch of form.
He hasn’t live up to expectations since his world-record move to Old Trafford but has showcased glimpses of his ability.
Didier Deschamps publicly warned Pogba he must get better following France’s 4-1 victory over Bulgaria on Friday evening.
Speaking after the game, Griezmann insists his french team-mate gives his all to win games.
“Paul needs affection. He tries to do his best, give everything,” he said.
“He has a different game with (former club) Juve, Manchester and here.”
Man United are reportedly confident in signing Griezmann next summer and it’s interesting to see how close he’s become with Pogba since Euro 2016.
Juggling different game styles will undoubtedly have an impact on any player and once Pogba starts to find his feet under Mourinho he’ll be tearing the Premier League to shreds.
Fans have been critical following his move to Man United, but it’s only normal after becoming the world’s most expensive player and it’ll just be a matter of time before he shows why the club invested in his services.
