Bastian Schweinsteiger suffers new setback and is set to leave Manchester United

Bastian Schweinsteiger has suffered a new setback at Manchester United as he is no longer training with the U23s, according to reports.

He hardly interacts with his team-mates at Man United as his training sessions at Carrington are scheduled later in the day.

The German is now maintaining his sharpness with a fitness coach ahead of a possible January transfer.

It seems like the Victor Valdes situation all over again, sent away from the first-team, before he joined Standard Liege on loan in January.

After an injury-plagued debut season at Man United, he hasn’t been able to live up to expectations and has failed to make his mark on the first-team.

He’s fallen to the bottom of the pecking order at Old Trafford and although Mourinho has said it wouldn’t be impossible for him to find game time, it’s looking like even more of an uphill task for Bastian.

Hopes are he’s able to find a club where he can get first-team game time, after retiring from international football he should have a few more years in his locker, but it doesn’t look like he’ll get another chance at United.
