Manchester United fans on social media were delighted with Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City dropping points over the weekend.
Spurs came to a 1-1 draw against West Bromwich, while Pep Guardiola’s Man City also drew 1-1 to Everton.
The club travel to Anfield to face Jurgen Klopp’s in-form Liverpool on Monday and with our rivals dropping points there will be more pressure to close the gap.
Here’s what supporters on Twitter had to say.
City & Spurs dropping points makes our draw vs Stoke, look even worse. Could've gone into Mondays game with chance of reducing gap to 1 pt!

It’s a big game for United and there’s no reason to sit around and reflect on points we could have made up earlier in the season against the likes of Man City, Watford or Stoke.
There is still plenty of time left to the campaign and beating Liverpool will help send a clear message to rivals that Mourinho’s Man United are back on track, which will help take the pressure off the Portuguese boss and his side heading into a busy schedule of fixtures.
The clash now represents a perfect opportunity for both sides to make up ground in the league and hopes are Jose is able to find the right balance in his squad and take three full points from the fixture.
