Paul Pogba has asked Manchester United fans for more time to adapt to life back at Old Trafford.
He has made a slow start since he completed his £89m world record transfer in the summer from Juventus and hasn’t lived up to the expectations of some supporters.
The Frenchman has only scored one goal since since making his second United debut in August, but insists he needs more time to adjust before fans start to see the best from him.
“I will need a little time to adapt in Manchester, time for the machine to start working. I am adapting,” he said.
“People like to talk about Paul Pogba. The critics, they stay for a day, then after that I put my music back on, I dance.”
The expectations on Pogba would have undoubtedly been high after becoming the world’s most expensive player, but he is capable of dealing with some criticism.
After facing public criticism from Didier Deschamps, Pogba went the perfect way about proving himself for France and hopes are he can do the same at Anfield.
A win against Liverpool could potentially lift Man United into the top four which will be a big boost for the squad moving forward.
