Manchester United have confirmed that Morgan Schniederlin and Anthony Martial missed the Liverpool clash due to injury.
Fans were left surprised when Martial was excluded from Man United’s starting XI, even though he had tweeted earlier in the morning that he was ready for the match.
Just moments before the game at Anfield, Man United confirmed the pair have been ruled out through injury.

It’s a shame to see Martial still injured, he scored on his last appearance before the international break against Stoke City and many believed it would have provided him with a much-needed confidence boost moving forward.
Schneiderlin on the other hand has been out of favour at Old Trafford since Mourinho’s arrival in the summer and hasn’t made an appearance since the opening weekend of the new season.
Reports suggest Martial has suffered a problem with his knee and hopes are he won’t be out for too long as the Frenchman was only just finding his feet under the Portuguese boss.
With a busy set of fixtures ahead for Man United, Mourinho will want them both match fit as soon as possible, especially with the Chelsea and Man City clashes soon approaching.
