Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs has warned Jose Mourinho fans won’t be happy after a consecutive run of draws.
Supporters grew frustrated under Louis van Gaal as a result of his dull play style and his 0-0 draws, which left the club fifth in the Premier League and without Champions League football.
Jose Mourinho successfully nullified an in-form Liverpool on Monday night and left with one point after a 0-0 draw.
Speaking after the clash at Anfield, Giggs has warned Mourinho he could make fans upset.
“It’s something we accept at the minute. It’s the climate we’re in. You see the games coming up – if you lose tonight the pressure is on,” he said.
“Going up against Liverpool – everyone expected Liverpool to blow United away.
“It’s a good draw but you have to beat Fenerbahce on Thursday then the momentum builds and you go into Chelsea and Manchester City full of confidence.
“It’s baby steps. It’s about getting to the top but it all comes down to results.
“If you have 35 per cent possession and win everyone is happy. If you have a consecutive run of draws or you are not winning then supporters aren’t happy.”
Can you blame Mourinho for playing defensively? No, not really. Liverpool have been in brilliant form and he went the best way about not losing.
The players had executed Mourinho’s plan perfectly and had Zlatan Ibrahimovic been more clinical infront of goal we could have even come out of the game with the full three points.
Mourinho’s side will have to bring in the wins as they head into a busy schedule of fixtures against the likes of Fenerbahce, Chelsea, Man City, Burnley and Swansea.
