Lukas Podolski urges Jose Mourinho to play Bastian Schweinsteiger

Lukas Podolski has urged Manchester United to give Bastian Schweinsteiger a chance after their 4-0 loss to Chelsea.

Jose Mourinho‘s much-anticipated comeback to Stamford Bridge was ruined by an embarrassing Man United showing, resulting in his worst defeat in the Premier League.

Mourinho’s nightmare started as Pedro scored the fastest Premier League goal so far this season at just 33 seconds.

Podolski has previously had a dig at Mourinho over his mismanagement of Schweinsteiger and believes he would have done a job on Sunday night against Antonio Conte’s side.

United have had trouble in defence as Antonio Valencia has made the right-back role his own after a spectacular run of form, but Luke Shaw‘s injury has forced Daley Blind into the left-back role.

Their deficiencies at the back were exploited by Antonio Conte’s men and Chris Smalling didn’t put in a convincing case for cementing his place in the first-team after his set of mistakes.

Mourinho’s game plans haven’t seemed to been working and introducing a player like Bastian, with tons of experience and the right attitude, could be what his side need to solve their current issues.

Fellaini was one of the worst performers on the pitch against Chelsea, but I’m not sure if a 4-0 slap in the face would be enough for Mourinho to bring Bastian back into the side.
