Manchester United fans were left with mixed reactions after Zlatan Ibrahimovic‘s performance against Manchester City
While the Swede had a disappointing first-half, he certainly stepped his game up when he came back after the break. Though the striker missed a couple of good chances, his ability to hold up play and distribute the ball to his team-mates was brilliant during the second-half.
The Man United No.9 got his first assist for the club when he held up play long enough to lay off the ball for Juan Mata to score the winning goal. The 35-year-old’s creative passing opened up a couple of great chances for both Marcus Rashford and Paul Pogba, although none of whom could make the most of it.
While some fans were disappointed with the striker’s showing, others were happy to see him create chances for his team-mates.

Though the Swede has only improved with age, it sometimes feels the number may be catching up on him as he has felt sluggish in recent times and has failed to convert any good chances.
However despite his lack of pace, Zlatan has shown remarkable strength against Man City to create some really good opportunities.
Perhaps rotating strikers could get the best out of Zlatan as he enters the latter stages of his career, he’d get some much-needed rest and would be fit to play in our big games.
