The Portuguese boss recently brought the German back to the first-team training to make up numbers and claimed it was the professional decision to reintroduce him.
Recent reports claim the club could be set to pay Schweinsteiger a £10m payoff to get him off their books if he doesn’t leave the club in January.
When asked if the midfielder will feature in Sunday’s Premier League clash with Swansea however, the United boss replied “no”
While shaking his head he added: “Because I decide, and I decide no. It’s too early for him, he’s been training with the team for three or four days,” he said.
“He is not ready to play football at that level.”
He had been exiled at the club since Mourinho took over during the summer and many believed his return to the first-team squad on Monday could put an end to his current situation.
However, Mourinho still doesn’t seem sure on whether the German will be part of his future plans after refusing to play him.
