Memphis Depay open to a move away from Manchester United – report

Memphis Depay is open to a move away from Manchester United as he believes his career under Jose Mourinho may be over, according to reports.

The Dutchman is said to be willing to go out on loan in January as Fenerbahce still retain a strong interest in his services.

He was left behind during Thursday’s 2-1 defeat in Turkey as the Portuguese boss was unable to find a place for him in the 21-man squad.

The Europa League has been low priority for Mourinho and Memphis’ exclusion from the squad represents his current position in the pecking order at Old Trafford.

Dick Advocaat, Fenerbahce’s manager has recently urged Memphis to leave Man United after taking a look at his situation and, after giving the Dutchman his professional debut for PSV Eindhoven, it seems a reunion could be on the cards.

After arriving at the club under Louis van Gaal as PSV’s top scorer in their title-winning side, there were high expectations from supporters.

However, he has failed to make his mark on the side and six of his seven appearances have come as a substitute so far this season.
