The Englishman is said to have suffered a problem during the 2-1 loss at Fenerbahce with the leg he broke in two places last September, sidelining him for the match three days later at the Liberty Stadium.
Mourinho has previously publicly criticised Shaw over his positioning following the the 3-1 defeat at Watford in September, even though he wasn’t solely to blame.
It’s a questionable decision for Mourinho to continuously take digs at the 21-year-old, Shaw has been a vital player at Old Trafford and following his injury, should be allowed to rest if he is feeling the strain of playing twice a week.
Shaw has also been training alone at Carrington as team-mates were given time off and Mourinho will be desperate for him to prove his fitness ahead of the clash against Arsenal next week at Old Trafford.
