Henrikh Mkhitaryan plays full 90 minutes in Armenia win over Montenegro

by Sam Peoples

Henrikh Mkhitaryan completed the full 90 minutes on his return for Armenia in a thrilling 3-2 win over Montenegro.

The Manchester United winger helped Armenia come back from 2-0 down to win the game with a late winner from Gevorg Ghazaryan.

It is the first time this season that Mkhitaryan has played a full game and is a big step in the right direction for a player who Man United fans are desperate to see in our first team on a regular basis.

At the moment it looks like Jose Mourinho simply hasn’t seen enough from Mkhitaryan in training to earn him a place in the first team but his time will come, hopefully sooner rather than later.

Our next game is against Arsenal next Saturday and that’s a huge game in the scope of the season because if we win then we’ll be just three points behind Arsenal who have supposedly had a wonderful year so far.

Mkhitaryan is a player who should be starting for us every single week and he should definitely play Arsenal but for one reason or another he’s yet to be in the first team fold much which is why him playing a full game is such a progress step.
