Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford voted as Rising Star of the Year

Marcus Rashford received recognition for his spectacular breakthrough at Manchester United after he was voted as the Rising Star of the Year.

The 19-year-old is currently away on international duty with England and was not able to attend the ceremony at Lancashire County Cricket Club.

He has cemented his place in the first-team under Jose Mourinho after continuing his impressive showings from last campaign under former manager Louis van Gaal.

He’s scored 12 goals in 32 first-team appearances for his club, even though he’s been deployed on the wing for the majority of this season to accommodate new summer signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic up front.

There are plenty of memorable moments ahead for Rashford and it’s hard to believe he’s still at the start of his career for club and country, if he’s this good at 19, I can’t wait to see how good he can go on to become at United.

Rashford has scored on his debuts for United and two England teams, the Under-21s and also the senior side, showcasing his talent on the centre stage and I can’t wait to see him in action against Arsenal, especially after his brace against Arsene Wenger’s men back in February on his Premier League debut.
