Juan Mata has proven he’s one of the best attacking midfielders in the Premier League by producing more in the big games than all of his rivals in the No. 10 position.
There are plenty of talented attacking midfielders in England, but his statistics at Manchester United have thrown him to the top of the pile.
The Spaniard was tipped to leave Old Trafford following the appointment of Jose Mourinho this summer but he has cemented himself in the starting XI after his spectacular showings.
Despite United’s well documented struggles this season, Mata has produced an assist or a goal every 148 minutes against the top six sides.

He has been highly effective at United and the likes of Mesut Ozil and Philippe Coutinho trail the 28-year-old by an assist or a goal every three hours against the top sides. If you were looking for gambling bonuses, having a flutter on Mata grabbing a goal against West Ham this weekend looks like a great bet to lay down given his recent form.
It’s incredible to see Mata performing so well at United, especially after his future at the club came into doubt over the summer.
He’s worked very hard to get into his current position and there’s no doubt that he’ll have a vital role to play under the Portuguese boss this campaign.
