Henrikh Mkhitaryan announced himself properly to Manchester United fans with a wonderful performance in our 4-0 win over Feyenoord at Old Trafford.
The Armenian midfielder showed us all exactly what we wanted to see with a performance that oozed class right from the first minute until he was taken off to a standing ovation by Jose Mourinho.
While he might not have got a goal or an assist to his name, Mkhitaryan was directly involved in more shots (9) against Feyenoord than any other player on the pitch and it was a wonderful showing from a player who has had to wait such a long time for his big opportunity.

When he started against Manchester City, it was obvious Mkhitaryan wasn’t fully match fit but tonight was a different kettle of fish altogether. He looked hungry, he looked up for it, he looked like he had a mission to impress and Henrikh certainly didn’t disappoint.
Jose Mourinho will be just as happy as the fans are with what he saw as Mkhitaryan put Feyenoord to the sword. It was the sort of performance which he put in week in week out with Borussia Dortmund and the sort which United fans had been longing to see – now we’ve seen it, we want to see more.
Unless there are fitness issues I don’t see any reason why we wouldn’t start Mkhitaryan against West Ham at the weekend and if he can put in the same sort of performance, he could very well bag his first goal for the club.
