Manchester United vs Feyenoord: Confirmed team news from Old Trafford

by Sam Peoples

Manchester United XI vs Feyenoord: Romero, Valencia, Jones, Blind, Shaw, Carrick, Pogba, Mata, Rooney, Mkhitaryan, Ibrahimovic

Subs: De Gea, Rojo, Fellaini, Herrera, Lingard, Memphis, Rashford.

Jose Mourinho has finally given Henrikh Mkhitaryan his second full start in a Manchester United shirt in a line-up which has got fans excited (apart from Sergio Romero…)

Zlatan Ibrahimovic returns from his suspension and both Michael Carrick and Paul Pogba start in a very strong midfield which is a little surprising as it probably means Carrick can’t play against West Ham.

Defensively it’s good to see Luke Shaw there because he needs match time to get sharp and fit. That’s the only way he’s going to find his best form again.

Overall, it’s a good line-up and I can’t wait to see United hopefully putting Feyenoord to the sword.

Kick-off tonight is 8.05pm. Live on BT Sport.
