Ander Herrera claims Manchester United must be more clinical in front of goal against West Ham on Sunday.
Man United have continuously shown that they can create chances but have lacked the end product as we have seen against the likes of Burnley, Stoke City and Arsenal.
They have won only one of their previous six Premier League fixtures and will need to claim all three points at Old Trafford over the weekend.
Speaking about the situation, Herrera claims the team need to get better at finishing chances.
“In football I think the most difficult thing is to create chances. To be in the third part of the pitch and getting good shots away and we are doing that,” he said.
“So the most difficult thing is what we are doing, but now we have to score the chances, that’s what football is about. So of course we have to finish better.
“I think it’s good for me to be able to give some different options for the manager and the team.
“I am happy with my development but football has no memory so you have to perform every weekend and in every game.”
He has played a vital role for Man United this season and after recently winning his first Spain cap, will want to continue producing top level performances.
United have been brilliant at creating chances, as Herrera suggests, but now need to work on converting their opportunites into leads early on in the game.
