Paul Pogba must be wondering what else Manchester United have to do

by Sam Peoples

Paul Pogba was once again Manchester United’s standout performer in the 1-1 draw with West Ham United but although he finally came away with an assist to his name, he’s got every right to be frustrated with his teammates after that draw just like the fans are.

What are Man United doing in front of goal? I mean, really. We’ve had 91 shots in our last four home Premier League games but have only scored three goals – it really isn’t hard to spot what our problem is.

Pogba himself is creating chances galore and although I do think his shooting could improve, just like every other United player, he’s doing more than enough to create and curate United’s openings which our strikers should be burying.

United need to buck up and sharpish. Stoke was frustrating, Burnley was unbelievable and Arsenal was infuriating. Against West Ham, it was predictable. I expected United to put them to the sword but instead we limped to another draw and two more dropped points at Old Trafford.

Nothing needs to change other than United’s finishing has to improve, it’s as simple as that. Our problem is there for everyone to see and with such quality in the striking department, I am baffled that has become our issue. Everyone needs to improve quickly or we’re going to find ourselves scrapping for fourth place this season.
