Zlatan Ibrahimovic has warned Manchester United players they could be dropped if their performances slip.

With Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Wayne Rooney back in favour for the 4-0 victory over Feyenoord in the Europa League on Thursday, Anthony Martial was left out.

Jose Mourinho later confirmed he was not injured, but was left out to accommodate the rest of the players in the squad.

Speaking about the under-performing players, Ibrahimovic claims they could be forced to watch from the stands.

He said: “At the top level you need to deliver. If you don’t deliver, someone will come in and take your place.”

It’s never a bad thing to have too much talent for a manager, but as players, each team member is fighting for their role in the side.

As his players return from injuries, Mourinho will need to find the right balance to keep his players happy and get the best out of everyone.

After disappointing results against Stoke City, Burnley and Arsenal, United will need to claim all three points in the meeting with West Ham in the Premier League on Sunday.

United need to be more ruthless in front of goal as the look to close the gap on the top four and learn from their mistakes.
