Manchester United fans were left divided over Paul Pogba‘s performance against West Ham United on Sunday night.
The Frenchman picked up an assist for Zlatan Ibrahimovic‘s header with a pinpoint pass and played a vital role in the centre of the pitch.
However, he missed chances, misplayed some passes and was often playing far too deep in a more defensive role.
Here’s what fans on social media had to say about Pogba’s performance.
Pogba is playing very well but he is too deep.

This second half is dead. Pogba needs to take control of this game and dictate the tempo of the game #MUNWHU

2nd time Pogba, 2nd time! He had Rashford free, and made a pass with too much weight on it.

Pogba' confidence when he's on the ball is just amazing 👌🏽

Following his move from Juventus which saw him become the world’s most expensive player, he has been heavily criticised, even when he has performed well at times.
At 23, Pogba is still young and has plenty of time to become a top player at Old Trafford. He has already started to control our midfield play, but there’s still much more to come from the Frenchman.
It seems like United missed the presence of Michael Carrick alongside Pogba, the Englishman allows Pogba to move further up the pitch without having to worry about tracking back and playing defensive, which was a problem against West Ham.
