Jose Mourinho has been given a one-match ban and £16,000 fine by the FA for kicking a water bottle against West Ham on Sunday.
The Manchester United manager will serve that one game suspension tonight against West Ham in the EFL Cup, so will watch the game from the stands in Old Trafford.

This is the second ban Mourinho has been given by the FA in a turbulent start to life as Man United boss but this charge is nothing short of ridiculous given he only kicked a water bottle.
As has been pointed out, Arsene Wenger received an apology after getting sent off for kicking a water bottle against United back in 2009 but Mourinho has been charged. Jurgen Klopp swore at a fourth official but nothing was said. Yet, Mourinho has been given the heavy handed treatment and it’s clear his reputation has preceded him here.
United now have to manage against West Ham without Mourinho in the dugout so Rui Faria is in for another busy night of note passing.
