Henrikh Mkhitaryan has revealed his delight after scoring his first Manchester United goal in the 2-0 victory over Zorya Luhansk in the Europa League.
The Armenian opened the scoring in Odessa as Man United booked their spot in the knockout stages of the competition.
The last time he was in Odessa, Mkhitrayan scored a hat-trick for Shakhtar Donetsk and he played a vital role once again.
Speaking about his goal, Mkhitrayan claims he is now hoping to score at Old Trafford.
“In the first half it was a little bit difficult, but in the second half we created space for the wingers and strikers. The most important thing is that we won and we are going through,” he said.
“I was waiting for a long time for this goal, but my next goal is to score at Old Trafford as I want to score at home. I will try to do my best to do that.”
Man United have struggled in the Premier League and with a clash against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon, hopes are they can keep the momentum flowing.
Mkhitaryan has been spectacular since his return I believe he has done enough to cement his place in the starting XI.
