Paul Scholes believes Manchester United are good enough to win the Europa League this season.
The Englishman was one of Louis van Gaal‘s most vocal critics but has publicly backed Jose Mourinho since he took over at Old Trafford in May.
Although Mourinho’s men have endured a difficult start to the season, especially in the Premier League, performances in general have massively improved since last year.
Speaking about Man United, Scholes claims they can go all the way in the Europa League.
“I wouldn’t be worried by any teams in the final round,” he said.
“They’ve started playing some really good football and I can see them going all the way, there isn’t one team that has worried me.”
A 4-0 victory over Feyenoord and a 2-0 win against Zorya Luhansk allowed United to finish the group in a great place, advancing to the knockout stages.
However, United need to get their act together in the Premier League as they currently sit sixth in the table, 13 points behind leaders Chelsea.
The club have warranted better results following their performances and a string of draws have left United with a lot of ground to cover on the top four.
