Pogba scored Manchester United’s first goal after a lay-off from Ibrahimovic and returned the favour in the final few minutes by passing to Zlatan who made no mistake with a clinical winner.
However, it was specifically Ibrahimovic’s defensive work after scoring the winner which was praised by Mourinho because of the impact it had for the team.
Speaking after the game he said: “They were both phenomenal during the game. The pass obviously is fantastic, the movement is great, the shot is good but for me probably what I prefer was what Zlatan did after the goal.
“To play in front of the back four, winning every header, controlling it on the chest and cooling the play was phenomenal. It’s not just the goal he scored that gave us the three points, it’s the leadership, desire and passion – it was fantastic.”
"They were both phenomenal."

I personally think that was one of Zlatan’s best performances for United. He ran the channels, had some great hold-up play, grabbed a goal and an assist and really was involved as much as possible wherever he could help the team. There wasn’t one area of the pitch.
If the win over Tottenham Hotspur marked a turning point, this is a momentum shifting win for United. No longer are we drawing games we deserve to win, we’re winning them. That’s what we’ve been missing, just the results and not the performances. Get in there.
Next up is a tough trip to West Brom which is never an easy game but if we can win there we’ve got two home games against Sunderland and Middlesbrough next. Bring it on.
