Manchester United fans were left unconvinced by Matteo Darmian‘s performance during their side’s 2-0 win over West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.
The Italian initially struggled to deal with pace of what was a fiery encounter, before eventually acclimatising as the game went on.
His ability to handle one-on-one situations throughout was questionable to say the least, especially when Jonathan Leko came on during the latter stages.
Man United fans were quick to make their feelings heard with regards to the 27-year-old.
Darmian should not be a footballer. How he's fluked his way into the Premier League I'll never understand.

Darmian will never perform in a way that raises pulses. His emphasis remains solely on being nothing more than just tidy, recovering the ball and obediently moving it away from danger.
However, such a scope can only take you so far. The Italian has always lacked a sense of aggression and power at full-back, looking constantly susceptible to being skinned alive by faster, stronger opponents. Tony Pulis noticed this at half-time and reacted, moving the livelier Matt Phillips to the right hand side whilst switching Nacer Chadli to the left.
And then, with Phillips clearly tiring, he threw on Leko, and the youngster ran riot against the evidently confidence-sapped, slower figure of Darmian. United fans will be glad that Pulis’ men lacked any efficiency in front of goal, and will hope to see either Daley Blind or Luke Shaw take his place in the coming weeks.
