Manchester United make £38 million bid for Victor Lindelof – report

by Tanveer Arayan

Manchester United have made a £38 million bid for Benfica defender Victor Lindelof, according to reports.

Jose Mourinho will be without Eric Bailly for at least four games in January due to his commitments at the Africa Cup of Nations withIvory Coast.

Despite Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo playing in brilliant form, reports claim Man United have finally made a bid for Lindelof’s services after tracking him for a number of months.

He allegedly has a £30m buy-out clause in his contract, but it will only come into effect until next summer.

Mourinho has only had one transfer window at the club and has already turned performances around with the likes of Eric Bailly, Paul Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

He’s building his own team at Old Trafford and will need time to overhaul his squad, one thing we have learnt though, is that the Portuguese boss gets who ever he sets his eyes on.

After attracting the top names in football to United without Champions League football to offer, there’s no doubt that if Mourinho wants Lindelof, we’ll see him in a United shirt.
