Jose Mourinho‘s side have won their last three Premier League games and have done a brilliant job on closing the gap on the top four.
Since the Englishman has become a regular in the side, Man United haven’t lost a single game and it’s more than just a simple coincidence.
Speaking about his impact, Neville claims he’s been able to change the squad since he’s come into the midfield.
“I look at this time now and it looks to me to be tougher,” he said.
“Rojo and Jones are tougher at the back, Carrick coming into midfield has made a big difference and they’ve got personalities and characters in Pogba and Ibrahimovic, so it’s better.
“It’s not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but it’s better than it was. I like it a lot more than I did last season.”
It’s a shame that Carrick is approaching the latter stages of his career at Old Trafford because there’s no doubting his vital role at Man United.
However, even at 35, he’s proven he still has it in the locker with a set of spectacular displays each time the Portuguese boss has relied upon him.
Hopes are he’s able to keep himself fit, especially in this busy period of fixtures as he’s an indispensable member of the squad.
