Eric Bailly has been pictured in training with Manchester United’s first-team ahead of his Boxing Day return.
The Ivorian was ruled out against Crystal Palace as he started the match at right-back in the absence of the suspended Antonio Valencia.
Although he seemed to have an early problem in the first-half, he carried on until he was taken out in a challenge by Danny Rose and forced off the pitch in the 52nd minute.
Here are some pictures of him back in action with the rest of the squad before his return on Boxing Day, as Mourinho has confirmed.
His injury was a massive blow for Jose Mourinho, especially as he had only just returned to the side after suffering a knee injury earlier in the season.
Bailly is a brilliant player and he’ll be a big boost for the side once he returns, even though he’ll be unavailable for a month in January due to his participation in the Africa Cup of Nations with Ivory Coast.
Hopes are he can maintain his fitness as he has a massive future ahead of him at Old Trafford, especially at 22, as there is plenty of time for him to become a top player at the club.
