Manchester United midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan has been named the Armenian Footballer of the Year.
He has been voted as the best footballer over the year for the sixth consecutive time and a total of seven times in his senior football career.
Overall, 49 in 50 voters have voted for Mkhitarayn, who gained a total of 245, his closest runner up was Gervorg Ghazaryan with 56 votes in second place.
Mkhitaryan has endured a difficult start to life at Old Trafford and it’s a shame that he’s picked up an injury as soon as he’s started to find his feet under Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford.
The Portuguese boss has confirmed he’ll be back in action for Boxing day and it’s a massive boost as he was one of our best performers before he picked up his injury in a challenge from Danny Rose against Tottenham Hotspur.
He has the right mentality and worked hard even when he wasn’t given the opportunity on the first-team after arriving at the club as the Bundesliga Player of the Season.
The 27-year-old, who’s his county’s leading goalscorer, has established himself at Man United and there’s no doubting that he’ll be a massive success at Old Trafford.
