He has fallen out of favour under Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford and has not featured in the first-team since November 19.
Everton are also said to be interested in signing Schneiderlin when the transfer window opens next month in a deal which could also see Memphis Depay leave Old Trafford.
The Frenchman was signed for £24m in the summer of 2014 and United will have to endure a loss on his services as he hasn’t been given an opportunity to prove his talent.
Schneiderlin featured in the Community Shield at Wembley when United beat Leicester at the start of the season, but he hasn’t even played in over a month.
He arrived at Old Trafford with high expectations, after all he was going up against Marouane Fellaini, but he has only fallen further down the pecking order under the Portuguese boss.
Working himself into the starting XI seems like an uphill task for Schneiderlin, especially as he’s 27, but it’s a shame to see he hasn’t lived up to his potential as he showcased what he was made of, especially when he first arrived at Old Trafford.
