Gary Neville was in good spirits following Manchester United’s big win over Middlesbrough in the Premier League.
Jose Mourinho‘s side, despite dominating proceedings all afternoon, went behind in the 67th minute through a well taken strike from Grant Leadbitter.
Neville was quick to laud his former side following what was a massive victory heading into 2017.
Big win that!! Feels right again…

Games like this remind us of why we love United, and indeed why we love football in general.
This was, dare I say it, like the United of old: ten minutes left, red shirts charging forward in search of a goal, the Stretford End in full voice, ushering their side on as they grabbed a crucial late winner. A stark contrast to the meandering attempts to salvage something late on under David Moyes and Louis van Gaal. This was United in full on throw-the-kitchen-sink mode, fearlessly surging forward, refusing to cave in and eventually battering the opposition into submission.
You could even say that United’s place current place in the table isn’t too important. Above anything, this is the kind of football United fans want to see, and they’ll be desperate to see Mourinho’s men continue in the same vein in 2017.
