Man United fans pleased with Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s performance against Middlesbrough

Manchester United fans were disappointed with Zlatan Ibrahimovic‘s performance against Middlesbrough on Monday afternoon.

The big Swede had a goal disallowed in the first-half after he collided with Victor Valdes, presumably for a high foot, which was clearly not the case after watching it back again.

Jose Mourinho‘s men were unable to find the back of the net moving forward, creating plenty of chances, but lacking the end product, until the closing minutes of the game.

Here’s what fans on social media had to say about Zlatan’s showing.

Before the game at Old Trafford, Ibrahimovic had scored 11 goals in 10 games and had been one of our best performers, consistently performing each week, however, he failed to find the back of the net and Mourinho was forced into introducing Marcus Rashford to help try and find a goal.

He managed to put in a smashing pass for Martial in the closing minutes of the game to claw a goal back, before Pogba helped United claim all three points.

Hopes are they can learn from the shaky start moving forward as it seems the intensity of football in England may have caught up with Ibrahimovic as the 35-year-old needs to be rested from time to time, but Mourinho confirmed it’s impossible when he’s scoring each week.
