Steven Gerrard believes Paul Pogba is already one of the world’s best midfielders and is worried about how good he can be in time.
Pogba, still only 23, became the world’s most expensive player when he returned to Manchester United this summer and has settled in very well back at the club he left for Juventus four years earlier.
His influence at Man United is growing with every game and he’s now starting to earn the praise from those outside of the club, so much so that Gerrard has labelled him as one of the best.
Speaking on BT Sport he said: “Pogba is one of the best midfielders in the world/he is only going to get better which is a scary thought being a Liverpool fan.”

Pogba’s been brilliant for United this season. There might be people who suggest otherwise but it really isn’t the case and with six goals already to his name, he’s delivering with crucial moments as well which is why you’re starting to hear ex-pros like Gerrard woo over him.
Things are only just getting started for Pogba back at United but already he’s in superb form and as much as I don’t like agreeing with Gerrard at any point, he’s spot on – it is scary how good he can be. Bring it on.
